Del Rio Vineyards

Del Rio Vineyards is located about
15 to 20 minutes north of Medford, Oregon. From Medford, Take
Interstate 5 freeway north to exit 43. Take a right to Hwy
99. Cross over the bridge across the Rogue River and take
a left onto N. River Road. Then, take the first right into
Del Rio Vineyards. The tasting rooms are located inside the
remodeled historic Rock Point Stage Hotel. This was built
in 1864 and is part of the Orchard property. The Tasting room
is open to visitors from September through may from 11:00
am to 5:00pm and is open from June through August from 11:00am
to 6:00pm. Outside, next to the tasting room in the hotel
are picnic tables to enjoy the beautiful views of the property.
You can take your glass of wine with you outside to these
areas. The Del Rio Vineyards supply grapes to over twenty
different wineries in the area. Some of the wines are also
available in the tasting room along with Del Rio Vineyards’

This vineyard and winery are located in the beautiful Rogue
Valley between the Cascade Mountain range and the Siskiyou
Mountain range. The climate of cold winters and warm summers
promotes superior grape growth. The trip from Medford is pretty
with diverse scenery and easy driving.
The Roxyann Winery and Hillcrest Orchards
are located in east Medford at 3285 Hillcrest Road, Medford,

The Hillcrest Orchards have been family owned since 1908.
The Roxyann Winery was established in 2002. The Orchard has
been bearing fruit for over 100 years. The establishments
are just minutes off Interstate 5. Take exit 27 right onto
Barnett Road. Take a left onto N. Phoenix. The Roxyann Winery
and Hillcrest Orchards are on the corner of Hillcrest and
N. Phoenix. The scenic area is quite beautiful. The orchard
is located on the southwest slopes of Roxyann Peak. The tasting
room at the winery is open daily from 11:00am to 6:00pm in
the historic Hillcrest Barn. The barn and surrounding gardens
can be rented for group events. Many planned events go on
at the Roxyann Winery and Hillcrest Orchard throughout the
year including musical recitals and cooking classes. You can

About 12.6 miles south of Medford
is the beautiful quaint artist town of Ashland, Oregon. The
Ashland Vineyards and Winery is a short distance form the
center of town going east. You can get there off the Interstate
5 at exit 14. Go left to East Main Street and travel about
¾ mile. Look for the signs for the winery. It is just around
the corner from the Windmill Inn. The address of Ashland Vineyards
and Winery is 2775 East Main St., Ashland, Oregon 97520. The
phone number is 1(541)488-0088. The business was started about
18 years ago on 120 acres in the most southeastern part of
the Rogue Valley. The climate and growing conditions mimic
the area in Bordeaux, France. The vineyards are farmed organically
with helpful critters(i.e. ladybugs, etc.) helping to naturally
control the healthful growth of the grapes. The grapes are
grown in south facing slopes. All of Ashland Vineyards and
Winery wines are highest rated by Wine Spectator. Ashland
Wines and it’s special brand Shakespeare Wines are offered
at Shakespeare Festivals throughout the country. The tasting
room is open Tuesday through Sunday April to October from
11:00am till 5:00pm. From November through February, call
ahead for appointments. With advance notice, you can tour
the winery and taste wine with the owner, who’s family history
goes back to the 1800’s in South Africa. Catered meals, winemakers
dinners and summer picnics are scheduled events throughout
the year. The tasting room can accommodate up to 50 people.

The Rogue Valley Wine Center shares
its address with Eden Valley Winery and Orchards. The address

Interstate 5 to exit 24. Go west to Phoenix and turn north
on hwy 99 to Voorhies Road. Eden Valley Winery and Orchards
are grown on revitalized pear producing land. The vineyards
are at 2100 feet with the grapes grown on southwest facing
slopes on down depending upon the varietal. The Root family,
the owners, are fourth generation vintners. The property is
on the historic register. It belonged to Joseph H. Stewart
who is the patriarch of the pear industry in the Rogue Valley
of southern Oregon. He first began pear farming in 1885. Mr.
Stewart was beneficial to pear production and distribution
throughout the world. The Rogue Valley is recognized worldwide
for its fertile soil and great growing climate.
Many vineyards have begun in recent
years upon realizing this wonderful area rich in agricultural
abilities. Eden Valley Winery and Orchards tasting room is

- 2955. During the summer months, the tasting room is open
to the public Monday through Saturday 10:00am till 6:00pm.
It is also open on Sunday from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. The winter
months have the hours of 10:00am to 5:00pm, Tuesday through
Saturday, with the hours on Sunday being 12:00pm till 4:00pm.
Every Friday and Saturday during the summer the Tasting Room
hosts winery tours and barrel sampling at 12:00pm and again,
at 2:00pm. Group private tasting and winery tours are available
by arrangement. During the summer months from June until September,
there is an open air Jazz concert every Thursday evening.
It is held in the formal gardens of the Voorhies Mansion.

A wine, bar, local draft beer and light cuisine are available.
Tables and chairs are provided. Children are welcome. But,
