Del Rio Vineyards is located about 15 to 20 minutes north of Medford, Oregon. From Medford, Take Interstate 5 freeway north to exit 43. Take a right to Hwy 99. Cross over the bridge across the Rogue River and take a left onto N. River Road. Then, take the first right into Del Rio Vineyards. The tasting rooms are located inside the remodeled historic Rock Point Stage Hotel. This was built in 1864 and is part of the Orchard property. The Tasting room is open to visitors from September through may from 11:00 am to 5:00pm and is open from June through August from 11:00am to 6:00pm. The Hillcrest Orchards have been family owned since 1908. The Roxyann Winery was established in 2002. The Orchard has been bearing fruit for over 100 years. The establishments are just minutes off Interstate 5. Take exit 27 right onto Barnett Road. Take a left onto N. Phoenix. The Roxyann Winery and Hillcrest Orchards are on the corner of Hillcrest and N. Phoenix. The scenic area is quite beautiful. The orchard is located on the southwest slopes of Roxyann Peak. You can get there off the Interstate 5 at exit 14. Go left to East Main Street and travel about ¾ mile. Look for the signs for the winery. It is just around the corner from the Windmill Inn. The business was started about 18 years ago on 120 acres in the most southeastern part of the Rogue Valley. The climate and growing conditions mimic the area in Bordeaux, France. The vineyards are at 2100 feet with the grapes grown on southwest facing slopes on down depending upon the varietal. The Root family, the owners, are fourth generation vintners. The property is on the historic register. It belonged to Joseph H. Stewart who is the patriarch of the pear industry in the Rogue Valley of southern Oregon. He first began pear farming in 1885. Mr. Stewart was beneficial to pear production and distribution throughout the world. The Rogue Valley is recognized worldwide for its fertile soil and great growing climate.

Many vineyards have begun in recent years upon realizing this wonderful area rich in agricultural abilities. Eden Valley Winery and Orchards tasting room is located at 2310 Voorhies Road. Every Friday and Saturday during the summer the Tasting Room hosts winery tours and barrel sampling at 12:00pm and again, at 2:00pm.
