Events in Medford Oregon
Downtown Medford or Old Towne as the locals refer to it has
that old fashioned small town feeling. It is easy to imagine
horse-drawn carts and ladies with parasols and high-topped
shoes strolling around during the yearly festivals. In April,
Medford has the Pear Blossom Festival. There is a parade and
a 13k run. The Rogue Valley was instrumental in developing
the pear and other agricultural farming in southern Oregon.
Art in Bloom festival happens on Mother’s Day and in summer,
the Medford Cruise weekend plays host to classic cars with
a ’50’s flair. In fall, the Microbrewer’s Festival introduces
local brewers.
A big event takes place in Ashland at the Southern Oregon
Shakespeare Festival. To get to the theater, take Interstate
5 south out of Medford. Then, take exit 19 and go right. At
the stoplight, take a left onto Hwy 99. Hwy 99 becomes North
Main Street in Ashland. Turn right onto Pioneer Street after
the Plaza. The address is 15 S. Pioneer St., Ashland, Oregon
97520. The main phone number is 541-482-2111. The official
site of the theater is www.osfashland.org.
